This is one example of how your program is already working for me (bear with me on this). The project I was chosen to manage is a 13 lot sub-division of $500,000 spec homes. One is completed and one more almost done. I was brought on board for two houses more. The previous manager was let go because the developer had a suspicion material was leaving the job and he was losing track of job cost and scheduling. Because of this he was leaning towards selling lots instead of homes from this point on.  All week long I've been churning out reports and scheduling documents to try to prove that I could keep him better informed and convince him I could make him money selling homes.  He gave me the job-cost report for the one finished home on a handwritten 3 x 5 index card. 

Using your program, within 3 hrs, I used your blank template to enter those costs onto a job sheet, breaking down material costs in a way I thought reasonable. I then used the sq. ft and estimating sections of your program to translate those costs into a formula for the next house we're building, giving me ballpark figures of what we can expect the bids to be and the project to cost.  I was also able to show him, because of the schedules you provide, that I would be able to track all the materials and each lumber shipment to ensure what was delivered would go into his homes not someone's pick-up.  I could tell he was impressed and is now considering going ahead with the building instead of selling the 9 other lots.

What I showed him on screen in the estimating section was good, so I can't wait to show him what the reports look like.  Its clear that this program belongs in the field on a laptop.  You're on the right track with what you're doing and you've already made me money by helping me impress the people I had to impress quickly, showing that we were an organized outfit that could produce the job costing data that would make this project a success.  Sorry to be so long, but you've got a pretty enthusiastic customer.

I just wanted to thank you for your follow up telephone call the other evening about my newly purchased home building software. After speaking with you and walking through the steps of the program I am confident that this is EXACTLY what I need to move forward with building my own home.

As you and I discussed, I am an avid "do-it-yourselfer" and I know enough about the building process to be dangerous. I have been the general contractor of a re-model of my home, I finished my basement myself and I have read 2 books on building your own home. I have pretty good knowledge and experience to take that next step, but found the information in the books not to be as comprehensive as I would need to actually take on the project with confidence. I must say that I was very surprised that this type of software was not already on the market. I was searching high and low for such a program and I'm really glad that I was able to find you. I'm amazed at all of the home plans that are for sale on the market but nobody really takes the plans to the next step until now.

I currently have an offer on a building lot at this point and my wife and I are deciding on an architect and we will build ourselves with your software. As soon as we dig deeper into the process I will be using the components of the program and I'll give you more feedback about the particulars.
